    • This package is a general purpose collection of classes.

    It provides useful classes for many different purposes in PHP Web applications. Currently it provides singleton classes for:

    - User HTTP authentication
    - Access MySQL databases using MySQLi
    - Cache MySQL database query results
    - Sending MIME mail messages
    - Encrypt and decrypt data using mcrypt
    - Log exceptions, errors and fatal errors using the shutdown function
    - Read Excel files using the PHPExcel package
    - Store file uploads and retrieve local or remote files
    - Manipulate text strings
